A Partnership for Training & Education in Manufacturing
Quinebaug Manufacturing Institute (QMI) is a partnership between Quinebaug Valley Community College and area manufacturing companies. The overarching goal of the Institute is to provide programs that prepare people to work in the plastics and other manufacturing industries and upgrade the skills of the existing workforce.
QMI is advised by a board comprised of manufacturers from Connecticut, Rhode Island, and parts of Massachusetts. The board is actively involved in setting policy, assisting the College secure the necessary resources to accomplish its mission, and establishing the direction of the Institute to ensure that the programs and services it provides meet the current and future human resource needs of the plastics and manufacturing industries.
