How should you design effective instruction with the help of technology?
There are some instructional design models that will help you design instruction. The commonly used model is proposed by Dick & Carey (1990).  The original model has seven stages.  The following model is modified into eight stages with integrating ideas of situated cognition.

Stage 1. Identify Instructional Goals
Stage 2. Conduct Instructional Analysis
Stage 3. Write Performance Objectives
Stage 4. Develop Assessment Tools
Stage 5. Develop Instructional Strategy
Stage 6. Develop or Select Learning Tools for Students
Stage 7. Design and Conduct Formative Evaluation
Stage 8. Design and Conduct Summative Evaluation
