QVCC RECEIVES TWO DESIGN AWARDS FROM NCMPR
Two
promotional pieces created by the Marketing & Public Relations Department at
Quinebaug Valley Community College were recently recognized by the National
Council for Marketing and Public Relations District 1.
At its yearly district conference, held November 4-6 in Annapolis, MD, two
Medallion Awards were presented to Susan Breault, public relations
associate, and Margie Huoppi, graphics and publications associate. The
Medallion Awards program recognizes outstanding achievement in design and
communications among community and technical colleges.
QVCC’s Summer Kids Academy guide, designed by Huoppi and Jennifer Espeseth,
web designer for QVCC’s Center for Community & Professional Learning, was
the recipient of a Gold Medallion Award. The Kids Academy logo, also
designed by Espeseth, was awarded a Bronze Medallion.

This year’s District 1 Medallion Awards competition included 340 entries, ranging from course schedules, catalogs and viewbooks to advertising, posters and photography.
