QVCC TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS NAMED TO HONOR SOCIETY
QVCC President inducted as honorary member
Five students enrolled in the College of Technology program at Quinebaug Valley Community College, as well as President Dianne E. Williams, were recently inducted into the Gamma Phi Chapter of Epsilon Pi Tau, the international honor society for professions in technology.
Geoffrey Boucher of Pomfret Center, Nathaniel Howe of Eastford, Todd
Parcinski of Brooklyn, Kyle Scott of Willimantic, and Christopher Verdone of
North Grosvenordale were joined by students from eight other Connecticut
community colleges and the University of Hartford at the initiation ceremony
held at Manchester Community College.
The QVCC president was one of ten honorary inductees, a group that included
professors, high school instructors, and others who have demonstrated
support of the students in the honor society as well as leadership in
implementing programs around technology.
The College of Technology is an innovative program leading to a bachelor of science degree in engineering or technology. After completing the associate degree in technological studies at QVCC, students enter technical programs at Central Connecticut State University or Charter Oak State College. The associate degree in engineering science leads directly into the School of Engineering at the University of Connecticut.
