President Dianne Williams

Quinebaug Valley Community College began our transformation to a learning-centered institution in 1993 and have redesigned our organizational architecture, reallocated resources, established a new planning process with a hoshin of "Learners First" and are developing an outcomes assessment protocol for not only our college but also the Connecticut community college system. We constantly seek alliances, partnerships, and additional resources and commit to continuing those efforts on an expanded level for a minimum of five years. We operate now with teams, often cross functional, and anticipate significant benefit for learners, both student and staff, from team participation in League for Innovation and project experiences. Our college community commits to being an effective and credible model for other micro colleges who might otherwise view a high profile national initiative such as this as beyond their human, fiscal, and energy resources.
