Business Office Technology: Word Processing
Certificate
(30 semester hours minimum)
A certificate program that provides basic preparation in word processing skills for immediate employment or position upgrading. Credits from this program may be applied to the requirements for an associate in science degree in any Business Office Technology program.
Learners who complete the Business Office Technology: Word Processing certificate will:
- Communicate effectively
- Maintain office records
- Demonstrate appropriate skills in word processing and computer spreadsheets
- Transcribe documents
- Maintain department schedules
- Demonstrate keyboarding speed and accuracy
- Understand the basic structure of business organizations
