Regarding the agenda item of WAOE's CORPORATE
SEAL, is there any discussion or motions on this topic?

We have already a nice symbol.. WAOE
But it would be good (as www is combination of text and graphics) when we have also some
graphicalsymbols.
So what if we make a call or contest or something like this (in frames of WAOE and also
outside) in order to get the best seal.. and also design certificates for waoe members
etc.

As Directors are aware, discussion has taken
place among the Coordinating Ring about activating the Web Design Committee and assigning
the task of designing a WAOE logo and/or corporate seal to the Chair of this Committee and
a potential member. The composition of this and other committees is an item for discussion
later in the meeting, so it is not necessary to deal with details here.
I think Mihkel's suggestion should be endorsed. I also think we must try to have our
corporate image and house style sorted out before the planned renewal of membership
process in the middle of this year. I therefore move that it be
RESOLVED that the design of a WAOE corporate seal and logo and any other official graphics
be referred to the Web Design Committee, which shall report to and seek the endorsement of
the Coordinating Ring as soon as possible and by not later than the third week of June,
1999.
Is there a second?

I wonder if David would consider a friendly
amendment to be added to his resolution.
Resolved Further, that the Web Design Committee should seriously consider Mihkel's
proposal to open up the question of a logo for the seal and for membership forms to
interested members at large.

I would be very happy to accept Jenna's amendment
and incorporate it into my original motion. Perhaps Jenna will now second the motion, as
amended, to enable it to be put to the question?
