Administrative and Academic Support
for Adjunct Faculty

    1. Adjunct Faculty mailboxes are located in Room E182 and E234 at the Danielson Campus. Please check your mailbox on a regular basis.

    2. Each adjunct instructor is assigned a full-time liaison. Your liaison can help you develop a syllabus, order textbooks, answer questions.

    3. An access code to duplicate materials for adjunct faculty's classes will be available from the faculty secretary Irina Komarova. This code number must be entered to operate the copier. The duplicating staff should complete any duplicating job over 25 copies. Materials to be copied may be left in baskets located in the Duplicating Room or Faculty Offices. Please allow ample time for material to be copied.

    4. Paychecks will be mailed every other week to your designated address unless other arrangements are made with the Payroll Officer in the Business Office.

    5. Clerical support is available for typing, duplicating, issuing supplies, etc, advanced notice required. Please see the Faculty Secretary in Room 120.

    6. Classroom space is assigned. Do not change rooms without consulting Kerstin Comtois in the Learning and Student Development Office.

    7. Adjunct faculty may not financially commit the College for unauthorized purchases.

    8. Guest speakers may be used in class. Honorarium to be arranged through the Dean of Learning and Student Development at least two (2) weeks in advance . A Requisition for Guest Lecturer form* is to be filled out and signed by the Dean of Learning and Student Development.

    9. Requests for instructional materials must be submitted on the appropriate form (Purchase Requisition*) to the Dean of Learning and Student Development.

    10. Requests for film rentals must be submitted on a purchase requisition form* to the Dean of Learning and Student Development.

    11. Field trips require prior (2 weeks before) approval of the Dean of Learning and Student Development. Requests for field trips must be submitted on a College Sponsored Field Authorization Form.*

    12. Faculty may assign only those grades from the approved QVCC grading scales. Please note the guidelines for posting grades.

    13. The Library is open and available to you and your students. Bibliographic instruction is available, as well as audio-visual equipment, which must be ordered at least 24 hours in advance.

    14. The Learning Center provides tutoring and other learning aids for all students.

    15. The College's Learning Specialist is located in the Learning Center.

    16. A voice mailbox is available to adjunct faculty upon request. This is for the convenience of your students and/or other members of the staff to leave a message for you. Please check your voicemail frequently. Instruction and a number will be given to instructor.

    17. Our Computer Services has a Laptop Computer Cart available for use in classes. There are 24 laptop computers available. Laptops should be reserved at least two weeks in advance. A sign out form is to be filled out when laptops are picked up. Please allow at least 20-30 minutes before class time for set up of laptops.

      *All forms are available in both faculty offices. If you need any assistance, please see the faculty secretary Irina Komarova in Room E182.
