Mission Statement of the Social and Behavioral Sciences:
"In support of the wider college mission, the Social and Behavioral Sciences aim to prepare students to apply the principles and methods of behavioral and social sciences as they apply to life long learning. To this end the discipline offers the first two years of liberal arts courses that contribute to a student’s effective completion of a two year associates degree. The discipline also ensures smooth transferability of academic courses to four year institutions. In addition, the discipline also contributes courses to certificates and career programs in the form of general education requirements. The Social and Behavioral Sciences engage in continuous discipline improvement through revision and improvement of courses in response to career program scheduling, and ongoing conversations with four-year institutions."
