The Essentials of Writing a Business Plan
A necessary “how to” guide for successful business operations. Topics include mission statements, business description, marketing and financial forecasting.

Financing Options
Learn about the various types of financing available for small businesses as well as the ABC’s of borrowing.
November 19 

Effective Marketing Strategies
Learn how to research markets, identify target groups and develop a strategy for marketing your product or service.
December 1

Risk Management
Learn about defining and analyzing risks to small businesses and how to develop strategies to minimize those risks to achieve your goals.
December 8

Each course is $40. 6:30pm – 9:00pm

Complete the four courses above and receive a Small Business Development Certificate.  Completing the certificate in Small Business may help you secure financing for your business!

Making 21st Century Technology Work for Your Small Business
Learn about the various technology options available to help make your small business operate smarter and not harder. Did you know you can forward e-mail to your cell phone? Have a face to face meeting using the internet? Keep an up to date personal calendar on your cell phone? Carry your business plan and presentations from place to place easily using a thumb drive? Cost: $35

Creating a Website for Your Small Business
An overview of the tools you need to create a website. Learn about web development software, the uses of the internet for e-commerce, security concerns and third party payment services. This is NOT a hands class and provides a foundation for Building a Website. Cost: $35

Introduction to Building a Website for your Small Business, Part 1
A basic hands-on class where you will learn an overview of Dreamweaver and begin building a website. The primary focus is on the basics of document creation, how to insert and format text, images, hyperlinks and other content. Please bring a flash/thumb drive to class.
Cost: $79

Introduction to Building a Website for your Small Business, Part 2
A hands-on continuation of the basics of Dreamweaver. You will learn about visual layout tools, HTML code editing support and use a built in file transfer protocol (FTP) to publish to the web. Please bring a flash/thumb drive to class.
Cost: $79
