QVCC FOUNDATION WELCOMES EIGHT NEW MEMBERS

DANIELSON, CT — The Quinebaug Valley Community College Foundation recently welcomed eight new members.

Kathy Borner, owner of Stone Silo Gallery and Studio in Pomfret, CT, is an artist and active volunteer for many organizations including Day Kimball Hospital and Habitat for Humanity. She and her husband Tom, president and CEO of Putnam Bank, have two children and reside in Pomfret, CT.  

Jeff Bousquet graduated from Springfield College in 2006. Jeff, along with his father Steve, run Bousquet's Appliance in Danielson, CT. Jeff is also a realtor with Loomis Real Estate in Putnam, CT.

Mary Jane Burke is the owner of BGR Radiator located in Plainfield, CT. Besides her Foundation work, Mary Jane is also active in Habitat for Humanity and the Danielson Rotary. Mary Jane, her children and her husband Jack reside in Brooklyn.

Christopher Marchand is a member of the QVCC class of 2010. He resides in Canterbury, CT. He is interested in the political process, with a focus on law. Chris serves as the QVCC student government representative to the Foundation.

Charlie Pious, president of Unicorr-Putnam N.E. CT. Charlie is active in many local organizations including the Chamber of Commerce, Putnam Business Association, Day Kimball Hospital Corporator and Packaging Alliance Network member. He and his wife Steffi spend much time in northeast Connecticut but reside in Bloomfield, CT.

Stefanie Pious has over 20 years experience in the world of corporate sales and commercial real estate. Stefanie is a member of both the Norwich Chamber of Commerce and the Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce. Stefanie is a senior associate at Colliers Dow & Condon. She and her husband Charlie reside in Bloomfield, CT

Jeffrey A. Rawson, president of Rawson Materials, Putnam and Plainfield, CT.  Jeff is very active in the community including the Putnam Rotary Club and Putnam Business Association, and serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of The Arc of Quinebaug Valley.

Jeff Paul, owner and president of Whitcraft LLC, an aerospace manufacturing company with locations in Eastford, Bloomfield, Shelton, and Plainville, CT. Whitcraft is a strong supporter of the college and has integrated many QVCC course offerings into their comprehensive employee training and development programs in their Eastford facility. Jeff and his wife Lindsay have three children, ages 13, 10 and 7 and live in Woodstock, CT.

 

The QVCC Foundation was founded in 1971. The mission of the QVCC Foundation is to raise funds so that all residents of northeastern Connecticut are provided the opportunity to attend QVCC regardless of income, and to support educational excellence, technological advancement, and professional development at the College.
